Harold William Brown

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Harold William "Pete" Brown on July 21, 2024, at the age of 85, at the Montfort Hospital. Born on February 10, 1939, Pete lived a life defined by hard work, love for his family, and a commitment to his community.

Pete was predeceased in 2022 by his loving and patient wife of 64 years, Pauline Brown (nee Whelan), with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. He was also predeceased by his parents, John and Mariah Brown (nee Lewis), and was the last surviving child among many well-loved siblings.

Pete is survived by his caring children Joanne, Ken (France), Michael (Erica), and Angela (Kevin), who will forever carry his legacy. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Chris (Carolyn), Sam (Tehri), Stephane (Amanda), Dixie (Alex), Melodie (Deron), Julian (Carol-Ann), Olivia, Danika, Justin, and Alysha, as well as his great-grandchildren Shaun, Jessica, Kenzie, Kayla, Caden, Kai, Asher, Kohen, and Myles. Pete's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives he enriched with his wisdom and love.

As the devoted owner of Pete's Pest Control, Pete was known for his tireless work ethic and dedication to his craft. His business was a reflection of the values he held dear—honesty, reliability, and service to others.

Pete bravely battled COPD, never allowing his illness to diminish his spirit. He faced each day with the same determination that characterized his entire life.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Montfort Hospital for their compassionate care and to all the friends and family who have offered love and support during this difficult time.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 24th at 3:00 p.m. at Orleans United Church, 1111 Orleans Blvd. All who knew and loved Pete are invited to join in celebrating his life and legacy.
