ADDERLEY, Harry Deakin - Peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, January 31st, 2017 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, the Creator took him back. Harry Adderley in his 93rd year was the beloved and only child of Ada and Harry Adderley Sr. who had come to Canada from England. He was born and raised in the same house he lived in all his life. Harry attended the Prince of Wales school and later worked for 43 years at Robson-Lang Tannery. He was a member in good standing with the Barrie Model Railroaders, a talented photographer and was a skilled woodworker. Most of all, he was a kind and gentle soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was like family to Jo-Anne, Richard, Maggie and Theo, Andrew, Monica, and Rylan, Bessie and Marlie, Miles, Geoff and Darlene, and Mary who baked him many treats. A special thank you to the amazing folks who delivered Meals on Wheels to Harry over the years. The smiles and conversations were appreciated by him for sure. Also to the PSW staff who made his final days at home so much easier, the staff at the RVH, from emergency intake to Surgery 2 who supported and cared for Harry. A special thank you to Shelby, the night nurse in Surgery 2 as well as the pharmacist and delivery folks who always had time to chat. It was a community of people who kept our Harry going and living at home. Thank you to each and every one so much. In keeping with Harrys wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the JENNETT FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTRE, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie.
