Helen Jean Francis (Ewing) Coe

Coe, Helen Jean Francis - it is with sadness, that we announce the passing of Helen Jean Francis Coe (nee Ewing), on September 7th in Wasaga Beach in her 82nd year. Following a short battle with leukemia she passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Loving wife of Earle Coe (deceased). Predeceased by her loving brothers, sister and sisters-in-law Jim (Agnes), Duncan (Margaret), William (Margaret), Archie (Lynda). Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, their families and close family friends.

Born in Glasgow Scotland, she, her mother and younger brother emigrated to Canada in her early 20s, to join her mother’s family, the McLean’s and the rest of the Ewing’s, her siblings. To describe Helen, you would have to include the words strong, family, fun and love. Helen cared deeply for her family and she was most happy when she was helping them. She will be greatly missed.

The family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses who provided care to her over the last the last several months of her life.

In respect to Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private internment was held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation. https://foundation.rvh.on.ca
