Helena Irena Bialowas

Helena passed away at the age of 96 on November 30, 2018. Helena was an avid gardener who turned her produce into wonderful meals. She was an excellent seamstress, dedicated homemaker and ardent reader. Mom was an outgoing and gregarious people person who loved telling stories. She had an uncanny ability to relate to people and make friends easily. Her devotion to God was expressed in her participation in the Jehovah Witness religion where she will be missed by her many friends in Edmonton and Ottawa. She cared for family deeply especially her children Elizabeth, Andrew and Basia, her sons in law Bob and Graham, her grandchildren Tamara Beaudoin and (Chris Bednarski), Janek Beaudoin (Sarah Campbell), Jared Bialowas (Dallyce)and Danusia Bialowas. She adored her great grandchildren Rennie, Rowan and Ellis Bialowas and Nikolai Bednarski. Her many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in law held a special place in her heart. The family is so appreciative of the care, compassion and empathy that the wonderful staff at St. Patrick’s Nursing Home showed towards Helena and her family. We will miss you Mama, Babcia and Pra-Babcia. In lieu of flowers and if you so wish, the family is asking that donations be made to St. Patrick’s Nursing Home or the Ottawa Humane Society of Ottawa. A private remembrance ceremony will be held at the Kingdom Hall in Orleans.
