Hilde Knopff

KNOPFF, Hilde 1925 – 2014. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Hilde Knopff in Dunnville, Ontario on March 18, 2014. Hilde immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1952, joining her beloved husband, Hans, in Hamilton, ON. After they retired in 1988, Hans and Hilde divided their time between Old Woman’s River on the Bruce Peninsula and Maple Leaf Estates in Florida. Hilde was predeceased by Hans and her brother Helmut. She leaves behind sister Christel and brother Georg in Germany; sons and daughters-in-law Rainer and Robin in Calgary, AB and Ron and Linda in Wellandport, ON; grandchildren Mark, Christopher (Marnie), Kyle (Aliah), and Joel; and several great-grandchildren. Hilde also leaves friends and caring staff at Dunnville’s Grandview Lodge. The family welcomes donations in her memory to the Alzheimer Society Canada (www.alzheimer.ca).
