Hiltje Smilde

SMILDE, Hiltje – Gone to be with her Lord on Friday, July 26th, 2019 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of Siebren. Loving Mom of Anneke Cherry (Steve), Roland Smilde (Ester), Gwen deWilde (Rob), Janice Beuglet (Chris) and Brian Smilde (Jocelyn). Devoted Oma to Heather, Garth, James, Melissa, Ben, Valerie, Morgan, Ashley, Gaby, Jess, Mike, Amber, Owen, Joel, Luke, Isaiah and Caeden. Dear sister of Tjerk Tjerkstra, Reitzo Tjerkstra, Jantina deVries and tante Hillie to many nieces and nephews in both the Netherlands and in Canada. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Jittie, her father, Roelof, and her mother, Anna. A visitation will be held at First Christian Reformed Church (33 Shirley Avenue, Barrie) on Thursday, August 1st, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery.
