Ilda Rojas Lazo

Ilda Rojas Lazo, age 97 of Brampton, Ontario passed away at 6:44 pm on August 28, 2022 at Brampton Civic Hospital.

In addition to her loving husband of seventy-four years Humberto Contreras, Ilda is survived by her two children, Guillermo Contreras & Hilda Gonzalez, three grandchildren Karina Cadena, Danny Contreras and Michelle Escobar and three great grandchildren Isabella Cadena, Sebastian Cadena and Valentina Escobar.

She was born September 30, 1924 in Valparaiso, Chile and moved to Canada in 1984 at the age of 60 years old to be close to her children and be an active participant of her grandchildren's upbringing.  During her life she touched many families through her passion of child care and was an integral part in the formative years of many young adults that were once in her care.  She loved music, travel, colouring, puzzles and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren.

Friends and Family are welcome to join us at Ilda's Celebration of Life memorium which will be held at St. Mary's Church, 66A Main St S, Brampton ON L6W 2C6 on Saturday September 10 at 1 PM.
