Jacqueline Diana Doran (nee Parke)

January 5, 1934 — October 9, 2020

Jacqueline Doran (nee Parke), 86, of Mississauga, Ontario passed away surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren on October 9, 2020 after a 6 year battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

Jackie was born on January 5, 1934, to Eric and Crystal Parke in Kingston, Jamaica.  She spent most of her life in Jamaica where her spirit still remains.

Jackie was a force of nature, determined to provide for her family and give them the life she thought they deserved.  She was an opinionated and a resourceful woman, well beyond her time, who often gave advice to family and friends on life matters.  This resonated with many as she came from a place of support.  Jacqueline was a loving mother and a loyal friend.

Jackie was passionate about sewing and cooking, and she often found solace in making her own clothes or entertaining others with her delicious meals.  She was known to seek help from others on sewing tips or could be seen combing through magazines to try a new recipe.  We will miss her greatly.

Jackie was predeceased by her mother and her father.  She is survived by Mr. E. Doran, her sister Virginia, her 3 children, Deborah, Michael, Nicola, her 6 grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jonathan, Michelle, Jordane, Natalie, Nicholas, and her 2 great-grandchildren, Lily and Emella.

The family requests that all donations be given to The Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at www.cpff.ca.  At this time, an online obituary can be viewed at Basic Funerals, however, due to COVID 19, funeral services will be determined at a later date.
