James Donald Delaney

We are remembering our father, grandfather, brother, and friend Jim who passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning. James Donald Delaney was born December 2nd, 1933, to the late James E. Delaney and Alice Flynn. He is survived by his wife, Mary. and his three daughters Dr. Kathleen Delaney (Dr. Jacek Kwiecien), Laura Delaney Taft (John Taft) and Alison Delaney (Steve Seamans), his five grandchildren Gabrielle, Bryce, Christian, Liam and Finn and his sister Arline Palmer (John). He is predeceased by his first wife of 25 years Carole Delaney.

A native Montrealer, Jim spent many successful years working for Shell Oil, Avon, and Safety Kleen. He lived a good part of his life in Ste-Anne-des-Lacs in Laurentians north of Montreal and later in the Ottawa area. Family and friends will come together for an intimate celebration of his life sometime this summer and without a doubt, we will sing “Danny Boy” in his honor.
