James Goverde

It is with broken heart that we announce the passing of James Henry Mary Goverde.

Born May 06, 1957 in Oshawa Ontario, passed away suddenly in his 66th year in his home, In Hamilton ,Ontario.

Ex Husband of Wendy Purdon of London, Father of Nicholas Goverde of London and Casey Goverde of St.Catharines, Ontario. Grandpa to Lyla Goverde, Abigale Goverde, Cuyler Goverde, and Corrina Goverde all of London Ontario.

Brother to Henry Goverde, Martin Goverde, Greg Goverde, Connie Cantwell, Audrey Brown, pre deceased by his parents Adrian Goverde, Catharina Goverde, and his baby sister Elizabeth Lawton.

He was employed through the Ministry of Corrections, first at the Toronto Don Jail, and retired at the Niagara Detention Center two years ago.

His passion was Boats, he loved taking boat tours in the Algonquin area, enjoyed watching the lift locks in the Welland Canal and the sail boats on Lake Ontario.

He will be sadly missed by his Family and many colleagues and friends .
