Jana (Memenis) Jansons

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden death of Jana Jansons (Nee Memenis)
who was taken from us tragically on January 29, 2021.

Beloved mother to Rolands and Arija: Grandmother to Kai: Sister to Robert (Mara): Aunt to Sandra (Aldis) and Karlis.

Jana was a dedicated Administrative Assistant in the Athletic department at UofT for many years.
She enjoyed reading, especially mystery novels, conversing and sharing a good laugh with friends
and family and spending time with her grandson.

Jana will be lovingly remembered by family and friends as a kind, helpful, selfless and loving person
who always dawned a smile and had a contagious laugh. She was known to bring a ray of sunshine into any room.
Life for Jana was always “Okie Dokie”, as she was often heard saying.
Her positive outlook on life was infectious and her many jokes would allow those around her to share a smile.
