Jean Louise Bell

September 22, 1928 — October 21, 2024

Brampton

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jean Louise Bell announces her passing on Monday October 21, 2024 at the age of 96. She faced her final days with courage and grace, departing after a battle with a respiratory illness. Jean is predeceased by her husband Raymond Edward Bell, sister Helen Marie Bond, and brother James Myers. Jean will be lovingly cherished and remembered by her children, William James Bell, Janice Louise Core, and Robert Raymond Bell. Jean also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who loved her and will miss her deeply.

Jean loved to spend afternoons watching the Toronto Blue Jays play, she was lucky enough to witness them win back-to-back World Series. If the Blue Jays were not playing, you could find Jean hunkered down with a good book and her cat Buttons feeding the squirrels in her garden or listening to music. Jean still holds the family record for the largest fish caught, on one of the many family holiday trips she so much enjoyed. Jean loved animals, from the many dogs she had throughout her life, to Buttons her favorite cat. And finally, Jean loved her family. She was a fixture at many of the grandchildren’s sporting events, school activities, babysitting and holidays. The family would like to extend heart-felt thanks for the care Jean received over her 11 year stay at Extendicare Brampton in Heart Lake House.

The family is having a Celebration of Life at Jean’s interment on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Beechwood Cemetery in Vaughan.
