It is with heavy hearts the family of Jean-Pierre (J.P.) Dubé announce his sudden passing on February 19, 2022, at the age of 48, after a courageous battle with Covid. J.P. was a devoted husband and best friend to Holly for over 17 years and was the loving father to his “Friend” Gillian. He was the cherished son of Rino (Mariette), and Patricia (predeceased). J.P. was a treasured big brother to Dave (Beth) and Serge (Yoli) and was son-in-law to Hub and Penny (predeceased) Frappier and brother-in-law to Billy Frappier (Sarah). He will be sadly missed by his cousin Suzanne Lapointe and by many nieces, nephews, step siblings and friends that were like family to him.
J.P. was a man you wanted to be around. His presence and big heart could be felt by everyone that was lucky enough to know him. He would drop anything at anytime to lend a helping hand and wore his heart on his sleeve. He had an undying passion for time with his family, outdoor adventures, exercise and taking off on his motorcycle for a ride with friends or by himself, using the sun as his guide. He was very proud of everything that his wife and daughter achieved and would make sure everyone knew about it.
J.P. was a perfectionist to say the least. If it wasn’t perfect, he wouldn’t stop until it was. You could tell by the quality of work he completed as a welder at General Dynamics for over 25 years. He enjoyed volunteering, participating in fundraisers, or helping others in need without ever wanting any recognition in return. His passion, sense of humour, and love for his family and friends would shine through in his actions each and every day.
J.P. was truly one of a kind. We know that he is at peace now and we will all keep his legacy alive through cherished memories with all those he loved. He will never be forgotten.
