Jeff Curtis

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jeff Douglas Curtis on March 14th, 2024, at the age of 64, after his battle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's disease.

Jeff was born in Pembroke, Ontario on June 1st, 1959, to Jack and Beatrice Curtis (both deceased).

He is survived by his son Brody Curtis (Alli, Charlotte, baby boy arriving in September), his ex-wife Marcia Curtis, sister Bonnie (Barth) Mason, brothers Tim (Marie) Curtis and Greg (Cathy) Curtis, along with his nieces and nephews.

Jeff had a passion for aviation, whether it was piloting planes, helicopters, or hot air balloons, arranging curling bonspiels, skiing, enjoying time with friends and family, and dedicating over 20 years to volunteering at the Toronto Indy. He was known as the “professor” of words and storytelling, always captivating those around him with his stories.

Jeff will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends, and his memory will be forever cherished.

On behalf of the family, we would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, PSWs and staff at the Lakeside Retirement facility, as well as the Royal Victoria Hospital for their care of our father, brother, uncle, and friend.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 1st, 2024, at the Columbus Hall located at 93 Berczy St, Barrie from 3:00pm - 6:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society or Parkinson Canada, in Jeff’s honour.
