Jerry (Gerardus) Dillerop
March 1, 1954 - June 22, 2021
With heavy hearts, we are saddened to announce the passing of Jerry (Gerardus) Dillerop. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 22, 2021.
Jerry was born on March 1, 1954 in Emmen, Drenthe, Netherlands. Predeceased by his parents Gerry (Gerardus) Marinus Dillerop and Roelie (Roelfiena) Johanna Struik and sisters Agatha Gerarda and Alida, survived by his brother Ronald Harold Dillerop.
He was a very proud superhero of a father to Danielle, Johanna, Randall and Robin. He was also an amazing Opa to Denver and Noella as well as a loving spouse to Janine Banks. He was also a very supportive uncle to his nieces and nephews Michael, Shawn, Courtney & Caitlin.
He was a very hard working, honest man who enjoyed sharing precious moments with his family. One of his favourite places to do so was at Disney World in Florida. He was a very fun loving man who was adored by his family as well as by all the "animal companions" that he had throughout his lifetime. He was sarcastic and witty and always made you laugh. He had a unique sense of humour that brightened your day.
He was a longtime Huttonville resident living on River Road for many years. He was community minded. Jerry was a member and later a Captain of Brampton Fire station 218 (Huttonville Volunteer Firefighters), member of the Community school association, Soft/T-ball coach, Co-founder and editor of the Huttonville Happenings. He was always willing to lend a hand wherever needed.
He will be missed by so many...
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear"
