Jerzy Kwiecien

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Jerzy Kwiecien.

Jerzy Kwiecien passed away early morning Monday, July 18, 2022 peacefully at the Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood at the age of 72, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his children Agnieszka and Marcin Kwiecien.

Born on March 30, 1950 in Bibice, Poland – Jerzy was the oldest of three sons, he was predeceased by his Mother Zofia and Father Michal Kwiecien. He grew up in Krakow where he studied, worked and lived with his family until the age of 40. Jerzy arrived to Canada on December 23, 1990 with his children; Agnieszka and Marcin Kwiecien where their family was reunited. He lived the later years of his life in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. Jerzy’s passion was spending time outdoors, exploring nature, camping and especially fishing (which was his favorite pastime). He also enjoyed being hands on, working on small projects around his home to keep himself occupied.

Jerzy will be in our hearts and memories forever. May you Rest in Peace.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church (4260 Cawthra Rd. Mississauga) on Friday, July 29th at 11:00am, followed by a Funeral at Assumption Catholic Cemetery – section 19, (6933 Tomken Rd. Mississauga).

30 minutes prior to Mass there will be a rosary prayer.

The family will welcome all who wish to attend.
