Joan Marlene Jameus

With courage and without complaint, Joan passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2016 at the age of eighty. Survived by her beloved husband Louis and her four daughters Christine, Marie (Byron Parsons), Michelle, Angel and son Marcel (Martine Benoit) beloved grandma of Bridgette, Heather, Mark, Shannon, Tylar, Melissa, Peter, Karine, Lauriane and great grandma of Spencer, Morgan, Nyssa, Dylan, Juliet, Elsa and Hailey. Survived also by two siblings Leona and Jim (Helen) and leaving behind cherished friends Darlene, Heather, Mini, Judy and Carol. Joan was a dedicated wife and mother. She had an infectious sense of humour and beautiful smile. She had the remarkable gift of making everyone feel included. Joan refused to label or judge others and held firmly to her own convictions and embraced her Saviour. The Jameus family wishes to express gratitude to the stroke ward at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, the stroke rehab and palliative care at the Elizabeth-Bruyere, CCAC, Bayshore Home HealthCare and Dr. Fluit for their professionalism and compassion. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in Joan’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
