Passed away on November 12, 2020 at the age of 82. Pre-deceased by his wife Jeddy (2004). John leaves behind his wife Bonnie, his daughters Evelyn Thompson (Don), Linda Luck (Pat), Annette O'Hagan, and son John Jr. (Tracy). Opa will be missed by his Grandchildren Jason, (Trisa), Michael (Meghan), Bryan (Crystal), Todd (Jose), Tanya (Matt), Dianne (Tyler), Emma (Joe), Shaylah, Jacob and Benjamin. He will also be missed by his 7 Great-Grandchildren, Brothers and family in Holland, and many other family and friends. John immigrated to Canada in 1958, and met and married Jeddy in 1959. In 1963, he purchased Simcoe Carpet Cleaners, which he proudly owned and operated until his retirement in 2005. He enjoyed traveling, especially back to Holland, and watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. He was proudly a member of the Covenant Christian Reformed Church. In lieu of flowers, our family asks to donate to a local charity organization, or support our local businesses, as John was a proud business owner for many years.

A private service will be held at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church
with interment at Barrie Union Cemetery.
