Johannes (John) Nitsch

In loving memory of Johannes (John) Nitsch who left us peacefully on April 16, 2022 at the age of 92.

Predeceased by his wife Susi (Rogalla). Father to Detlev (Karen), Hanna (Mike) and Ingrid (Ed). Opa to Jenn, Erika, Greg, Zak, Haley, B and Erin, and Great-Opa to Coulson.

John immigrated to Toronto, Canada from Germany in 1957 with his young family, where he started a successful business, Shiny Window Cleaning, until retiring on Vancouver Island in 1991. John and Susi relocated to Ottawa in 2003.

John was a skilled and creative handyman and an avid gardener. He loved music, nature and animals and was an epic poet. He was known for his sharp wit, sweet tooth and had a sense of adventure and boundless energy.
