John Huva

John was born on Oct 07 1932 in Landstrew Saskatchewan, he grew up on the family orchard in Summerland BC with his five sisters and five brothers .John graduated from UBC in 1956 with a degree in mechanical engineering. His education let him to a position at Bristol Aerospace in England.

John toured England with his colleagues and he acquired a 1935 Jensen which he shipped to Canada. He was transferred by Bristol to Val Cartier Quebec where he worked on rocket development. He met Marie L'Heureux and they married in Quebec City in 1959. John was transferred again by Bristol to Winnipeg where he and Marie had two children
Elaine and Suzanne. The family moved to Ottawa in 1964 where John worked at CRC developing the Alouette II satellites. The family spent many memorable Christmas, Easter and
summer holidays with Marie's relatives in and around Quebec City. John went on to become program manager at Telesat and was involved in the launching of Anik A,B and C satellites.

In 1976 he met Helen Doddrige and they married in 1980.They spent many happy hours in the garden and at the woodlot near Perth .John enjoyed photography, fixing cars, current events, swimming and spending time with his grandchildren. He was senior aerospace engineer at First Mark and was involved with Radarsat project before retiring at 65
John was a kind, loyal, patient, and determined man. He passed away at age 88 on Jan01,2021 .He will be missed by his sisters Wilma, Alma, Ester, Nelly(Larry) and brother
Henry(Sandy).His children Elaine and Suzanne his step-children Jackie(Bruce),Scott(Liz) Cindy(Paul),Nancy(Ted) and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren
