John Philip Majoros

John Philip Majoros January 3, 1927 - April 24, 2020

It is with sadden hearts we announce the passing of John Philip Majoros of Cooks Mills, Welland, Ontario. John passed peacefully in his 94th year on Friday April 24th, 2020 at Niagara Falls General Hospital.

Words to me don’t do this man justice. John was born January 3, 1927 in Hungary and migrated here at a young age with his family. After a short bit of moving around his father John Sr. purchased the old Young Farm in 1943 in Cooks Mills, on the outskirts of Welland.

John loved his fishing, hunting, and his farming. He ran the farm with his nephew, David Majoros, until the end.

He was not married and did not have children of his own but was a treasured Uncle, best friend, and Father figure to David (Tammy) Majoros and Grandfather figure to their kids Samantha, and Jacob Majoros. He was a cherished Uncle to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, both Bottenfield and Majoros, too many to mention. John is survived by his sister Vera. John is predeceased by his parents John and Vera, sister Mary, and brothers Joe and Vincent.

He will be treasured and missed forever. To his wishes he was cremated and there will be no service.

At this time David and Tammy would like to thank greatly all the staff at St. Catharines and Niagara General Hospitals for all their compassion, thoughtfulness and care for Uncle John. Our appreciation and thanks could never be expressed enough.
