John Phillips

John Smith Phillips, November 5 1934 to September 14 2022.  Born in Edinburgh Scotland, raised in Stirling, moved to Canada in 1957.  Pre-deceased by Mary (Robertson), his wife of 50 years.  Father to Ian, Andrew (Linda), and Ken.  Proud grandfather of Steven, Tara, and Nathan.  Enjoyed lots of travel, coast to coast across North America, family camping, and cruising with Mary and friends.  Learned to Scuba dive in his fifties and spent as much time as possible under the water.  Recorded over 150 blood donations.  Active member of choir, board, and boys brigade of St. Andrew's Scarborough for 60 years.  Avid student of history and geography, and always eager to share that knowledge with others.
