JOHN G SERDACHNY

April 27, 1932 — March 27, 2014

John G. Serdachny April 27, 1932 – March 27th, 2014
John leaves behind his 2 sons, Jon (Mary) and Todd, Grandchildren, Clarissa Macgregor-Mitchell (Clint), Christopher (Amanda), Chantelle Ducharme (Corey), Kyle, Adam, Tia and Evan, 7 Great Grandchildren, Logan, Carter, Coralaina, Brielle, Jonathan, Elizabeth and Emily and 2 sisters, Georgina Snyder (Merv) & May Holmes (Dave), and 1 sister in-law, Loretta Sirdashney. John was an avid golfer and enjoyed his many outing with his long time friend, Syd Menard, and friends Earl and Gary.  John had a special spot in his heart for his grandchildren and great grandchildren, they always seemed to cheer him up and put a smile on his face no matter what he was going through.  John was able to witness his grand-daughter Chantelle’s Wedding Ceremony, by watching it on DVD, thanks to her sister Clarissa, who persisted with the video-grapher to release an unedited copy to her.  With his family all gathered together, he watched his “girl” Chantelle say “I do” to her groom, Corey Ducharme.  John spent his final days in the beautiful Hospice of Windsor, where he received exceptional care, love and support.  The staff, as we referred to as our angels were nothing but amazing.  His grandchildren, Clarissa, Christopher and Chantelle felt so privileged to spend quality time with him during his final hours.  He passed away peacefully with his son Jon and daughter in-law Mary at his side while he took his last breaths.  Cremation has taken place.  “Celebration of Life” will take place on April 26th, 2014.  Donations to be made to the Hospice of Windsor Essex County.

Burial Date: April 26, 2014
