so much more than one of Metro's Finest has passed away. John was suddenly diagnosed with cancer on Feb 15th and left us on Feb 18th. John was a loving Husband to Ada, as well as a dear father to Becky (Larry), Bonnie (Bruce), Brenda (Dave), Belinda (Allan), Darren (Carla) and stepfather to Jim (Sharon), and Steve. John was a Fun-loving Grandfather to Steven (Sara), Amy, Cody, Brooke, Madeline, Isabella, Ayden and Sofia. John was also a Great Grandfather to Emma, Ethan and Maxwell. As well as a Dear brother to Jim (Ruby), Lynne and Jeff (Emily). John is also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. John served his community as an Officer for 27 years with Metro Toronto Police and once retired devoted his time for 20 years with community care. John was a very comical, courageous and a sweet man, who will be missed by all of his family and friends. John's wishes were to be cremated and for there to be a celebration of life held in his honor. The celebration will take place at the Fenelon Falls Legion (23 Veterans Way, Fenelon Falls ON K0M 1N0) on Saturday April 29th, 2017 from 1pm to 5pm, and he would wish to have all family and friends present.
