John (Jack) Henry Martin

MARTIN, JOHN (JACK) HENRY October 23, 1936 to August 4, 2021  Jack passed away on a warm August afternoon, peacefully and surrounded with the love of his family in his hometown of Barrie, Ontario.  Jack was 84 years old and it was his time to be released from the bonds of age. He was liberated to the skies leaving us with all the great memories that he brought to his family and friends. Jack was predeceased by his wife Gloria, nee Newman 2005, and Son Timothy Boutilier 1998. Jack, often referred to as Pa, will be dearly missed by his Son, Ed Boutilier (Cindy); Daughters, Laura Bradley, Kimberley Erev (Eli), Wendy Panetta (Cosimo), Tracey Martin (Tom Sturgess); and Grandchildren Anton Pasquarella, Jessica Martin (Kevin), Rick Bradley (Tabitha), Zachary Bradley (Cynthia), Damiano Panetta, Lucia Panetta. Jack was known for his sense of humour and generous nature, which resulted in him having a wide group of friends from all walks of life. He was a brave man who faced the struggles of his recent illness with dignity and he cherished every moment with his family and friends. In memory of Jack please do something kind for someone: buy a coffee, plant a tree or make a donation to the local humane society.
