Forever in our hearts

José Bernardo Farias

July 14, 1929 - December 28, 2023

He will be remembered always by his loving wife Maria do Espírito Santo, children Joe, Bernadette (Mark), Goretti (Kieron) , grandchildren Lucas, Madeleine, Jude and Mitchell and extended family and friends.

José Bernardo was born in Livramento, São Miguel, Açores, and moved to British Columbia, Canada 1957. His passion in life was first and foremost family. His love of driving took us across Canada several times ( we lost count after 18 times). He had so many hobbies he enjoyed, but primarily working in Joe’s Saw Shop. He worked at Eurocan for many years and he was so proud to have accomplished his trade of Benchman. He along side his wife and constant companion, dedicated much of their time at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church located in Kitimat, British Columbia in many areas but took pride in his capacity as a devoted Eucharist minister.

His love, kindness, humour, laughter (practical jokes) as well as his unending generosity will be greatly missed by all who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Funeral Service to be held at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church at 10:00am on January 4, 2024 - 1481 Dufferin Street, Toronto, Ontario

Interment at Westminster Cemetery - 5830 Bathurst Street, North York, Ontario
