Joseph Branford

It is with hearts filled with sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Theodore Branford at St Michaels Hospital in Toronto on July 7, 2023. Joseph "Deacon" was surrounded by his family on his passing.

He is predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Iris Branford Macdonald.

He is survived by his three sisters, nephew, nieces, and two sons. He strived to be a great husband father and friend and was very easygoing, kind, and non-confrontational. He was a genuinely giving person and really loved his family. All who knew him loved him.

In his earlier days, Joseph worked with Texaco Oil Company in Jamaica West Indies for many years as a driver. He was also a very skilled auto and diesel mechanic. Joseph frequently took time out of his schedule to help fix friends' and family's automobiles and trucks.

Joseph was also an avid cyclist and swimmer and enjoyed many other outdoor activities.
He leaves behind his sons, Christopher, and Richardo; and sisters, Sharon, Lassom, and Georgia, and grandchildren, nephew, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Mausoleum, 4570 Yonge Street, North York, ONT M2N 5L6 (10 Linelle Street for car access).

The Memorial Service will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.
