Joseph James Rivett passed away peacefully on April 14, 2023, at his residence in York, Ontario.
He was born on November 21, 1964, and left us too soon at 58 years old.
His family is deeply saddened by his death.
Joe is survived by his sisters Brenda Worden (John deceased) and Patricia Rivett Carriere (Simon deceased), and his brother Carl Rivett along with his stepdaughter Crystal James (Blair), numerous nieces and nephews and loving grandchildren.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Joan Delaney Rivett and Norrie Rivett, and his wife Maryann Clarke Rivett.
Joe was a gentle spirit with a passion for truck driving taking him thousands of miles across Canada and the US hauling everything from dynamite to scrap iron and most things in-between. He continued to drive until his health forced him to retire.
Life was not always easy for Joe; he faced many challenges which brought him to the Salvation Army’s Harbour Light. It was during this time that Joe met his beloved wife, Maryann, and while their time together was too short, they were truly devoted to each other.
Joe made an impact on many lives and will be forever missed. Until we meet again Joe.
