SICARD, Joseph Leon Robert Fernand (also well known as “Fern Scott”)
November 26th, 1943 – May 17th, 2013
Joseph passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
He was born in Shawville, Quebec to the late Gerald Sicard and Jeanne
(Lacasse). He was the oldest sibling of nine children: Helen, Jacques, Paul, Suzanne, Louise, Diane, Nicole, Michel.
He was extremely proud of the family he raised with Dianna (Crowe): three children; Randy (Cheryl), Carole (Frank), Terry (Shelley) and four grandchildren: Austin, Kyle, Bianca, Kalan.
He will be greatly missed by his best friend Claudette Paradosky, as well as his family and friends.
Joseph was a passionate, kindhearted, adventurous man of many talents who especially loved music and cars. He was an impressive lead guitarist of various genre bands across the region, the last band being called “The Country Jewels”.
A very special thank you to all the family and friends who called and visited him throughout his courageous battle. His family will never forget the love you showed him.
We would also like to express our gratitude towards the fantastic staff at the Elizabeth Bruyere hospital, especially nurse Laura, Marie-Claude and Doctor “Sandra”. Your compassion and support to our dad as well as his family was heartwarming.
We invite family and friends to help us “CELEBRATE” his life on Friday, May 31st, 2013 with the mass beginning at 7 pm, at the Richelieu-Vanier Community Centre, located at 300 des Peres-Blancs Avenue, Vanier. Celebration will continue until 10 pm.
We encourage anyone to bring along their guitar!!
