Joseph James Speare

Joseph James Speare - Beloved husband of Elaine Speare, Joe passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in his 95th year.  Joe is survived by his wife of 72 years, Jessie Elaine (nee Webb), his three sons Jim (Nancianne), Ken, Terry (Debbie), their grandchildren Janette (Gavan), Morgan, David, Laura, and John, and his siblings Betty and Robert.  He is predeceased by his daughter-in-law Diana, and many siblings.  He will be dearly missed by his family, including many nieces, nephews and cousins, his friends and fellow Waterford residents and staff.  The family would like to express their appreciation to Home Care, St. Elizabeth nurses, the Palliative Care Team, and to Barrie Hospice for their tender care.  A very special and heartfelt thank you goes to the staff at the Waterford Retirement Residence. A Celebration of Life will be held at Jennett Chapel, 152 Bradford Street, Barrie, on Saturday, November 12, from 11:00 am to 1:00pm with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Royal Victoria Hospital, the Barrie Food Bank, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
