Joseph "ALAN" Neish was born in Hull England
September 02/1947 and raised in Glasgow Scotland.
Alan passed Sept 28th,2023 after a short stay at Barrie Hospice.
As he departed the chaplain shared a beautiful prayer and bagpipes
played Amazing Grace.
Alan completed The Outward Bound Course at Moray Sea School
in his early teens. There he developed character ,strength and
endurance. Left home as a wee lad and came home a young man.
A Master Carpenter also a P.C. in Scotland among the 'many hats
he wore'. An instructor in Arc Industries (Barrie) as well as
guard in the jail. Many years of carpentry and then the well loved
manager of Lord Simcoe apts Victoria B.C.for seven years.
Alan excelled putting his heart into each job helping many people
along the way. A great sense of humour and wit brought laughter
wherever he travelled.
Retirement brought Alan's love of Golf to the Fore! Snooker with
Joe and friends at Parkview Seniors, another favourite pastime.
Not forgetting his guitar lessons there.
We are ever grateful to Cancer Care RVH. Dr. Russell, Dr Zeng
& Dr Emerson who offered compassionate care and kindness
over these past months.
Cremation has taken place and remains will return to Scotland.
Alan with join his beloved parents, Joe & Emma, sisters Lizzie,
Jeanette, Carol & brother Ted.
Missed beyond Measure by wife Teresa (Terry) together 55 adventurous years.
Remembered with love by many Auld Acquaintances & family including all nieces and nephews near and far.

A Mass is offered at St John Vianney Barrie Nov 10/2023 9.30am by Mike & Maria Hardie.
Alan embraced many denominations in his faith journey, significantly to Free Methodist Church whose
Pastor was Carl Bull. Rev John Howard was another great influence.
May the Angels lead you to Paradise where there's no
