Joyce Irene Davey

Joyce Davey, a beacon of love and strength, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024, at the age of 95, at Barrieview Retirement Home. Beloved wife of Warren Davey for 67 years, Joyce's life was defined by her unwavering dedication to family, community, and service.

Born and raised in Leaside, Joyce's roots run deep, fostering enduring relationships and a strong sense of community. She dedicated herself to volunteer work, notably serving Richmond Hill Hospital for 40 years and acting as secretary for the Honey Harbour Association for many years.

Joyce's passions included sports, crafts, and nurturing her family. As a mother to Glenn (Mary Ann) and Scott (Suzie), and grandmother to Matthew (Jules) and Brett, she poured her heart into creating a loving home and cherished every moment with her loved ones.

In honoring Joyce's wishes, cremation will take place without formal services. Though she may no longer be with us, her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.

Joyce Davey's memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service that will endure for generations to come.
