With gratitude to God for a life well spent we inform you of the call to glory of Julienne Phillips, nee James also known as Gladys.
She left us to walk the street of gold on December 18, 2020 at the age of 88 years.
Julienne is survived by her four children, Gaspard, Timothy, Catherine, Matthew, and 15 grandchildren, 14 great grand children and 1 great grand child. She is also survived by her sister Elise, daughters in law, Julie, Joslyn, Judy and son in law Shola. Also left to mourn are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A very special mention is made of her niece Justine, who played a very significant role in her life.
Julienne was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Daniel Phillips and 7 siblings.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all those who cared, visited and prayed for her during her illness.
A loving mother and homemaker, Julienne will be remembered for her love of God and her constant desire to serve and please Him - she left a Godly heritage for her family.
She will always be remembered for her love for family, her radiant smile, her sense of humour, her delicious cooking and her generosity.
Julienne loved to sing and took pride in the fact that she did not need a hymn book to sing songs of praise and worship to God, she knew the songs by heart. On one occasion she sang on a road trip from Florida to Maryland, only stopping to eat.
The one thing we will never forget is her outspokenness, as we say in the West Indies “her tongue had no bones”
