Julius Szalay

Julius Szalay, 83, passed away on October 20 2022. Even though unexpected death took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all in the community.

Julius left Czechoslovakia to start a new life in Canada at a very young age. He was a gentleman, very kind and always spreading love around him. He had many friends who enjoyed his charm and sense of humour. His passion was to meet new people and make new friends.

He loved his mom who meant so much to him and he always took care of her.

He loved adventure and enjoyed to travel around the world.

He was an athlete his whole life and he played many sports. But most of all he enjoyed playing volleyball, rollerblading and ice skating. He took every opportunity to play chess and bridge card game with his friends.

He was very good baker, well known for his chestnut cake, and many people got a chance to taste many of his baked goodies.

His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed to all of us.
