Brunaccioni, June (nee Lucas)
(June 8, 1930 - December 4, 2019)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dear mother, June Elizabeth Brunaccioni. Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Emmanuel House Hospice in Hamilton on December 4, 2019 at 89 years of age. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Leo, daughter Patsy, parents Jeannette (nee Weaver) and Wilfred Lucas, and siblings (Bob, Jim, Don, Jean, Gloria, Gail, Catherine). Born during the Great Depression, June overcame a magnitude of challenges but remained a compassionate and kind woman. She blessed us with her never-ending devotion as the matriarch of our family and was a living example of the strong values she instilled in her children and grandchildren, which have served them without falter. June is survived by her children Joseph (Nina), and Kelly (Steve); her precious grandchildren Terry Jr. (Kelly), Dan (Lori), Tara, and Jason (Carolyn); treasured great-grandchildren Andrew (Lindsay), Jessica, Justin (Alessandra), Josh, Megan, Aleesha and little Leonardo; dear great-great grandchildren Kailey, Abigail, James, Andrew Jr.; son-in-law Terry Sr. (Lynne), and sister Colleen (John). All of whom loved her and will never forget her strength, determination, quick wit, epic euchre games, unwavering love of her Montreal Canadiens and obvious pride in her family. Cremation and a private burial will be held immediately. Friends and family are invited to join us at a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 15th between 1-4 pm at the Scottish Rite Club at 4 Queen St S, Hamilton (free parking behind the club off of George St./follow signage for directions). We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, PSW's and volunteers at Emmanuel House Hospice for the exceptional care, compassion and dignity they provided mom in her final weeks. You have touched our hearts and made an unbearable time endurable. Our greatest appreciation to the LIHN/PCOT teams (particularly Deb) as your support proved invaluable. A deeply felt thank you to Eleanor who proved to be more than just a neighbor, but a dear friend. In lieu of flowers, supporting Emmanuel House Hospice would be very much in keeping with June's caring nature.
