June Hearne

June Hearne, 91 years of age, passed away on Friday December 29th at her home in Mississauga, Canada with her daughters present. June led a fascinating life starting with being born in Bombay, India and living and traveling around India for her first 15 years. She then returned “home” to England, only to find that they didn’t speak the King’s English.

At 21 years of age, June married William Hearne and the following year they had a daughter Jacqueline. The three of them left for Canada and a better life. Canada turned out to be a bigger shock than even arriving in England had been. Over the next five years June and William welcomed Janis, Timothy and Christopher into this world. June’s husband William and son Timothy predeceased her.

June was a master’s bridge player, an excellent award-winning artist and could have been an outstanding gymnast if she had been so inclined. June was also an excellent seamstress and helped keep her daughters in clothes right up until the end.

June wanted no service or Celebration of Life and her wishes are being honoured.

June is survived by her children Jacqueline, Janis and Christopher, her granddaughters Rebecca, Amanda and Charleigh and her two great-granddaughters Mikayla and Madison. She will be sorely missed by all.
