Karen Patricia Grace Pilon

With heavy hearts we wish to announce the passing of Karen Patricia Grace Pilon (née Perry), on June 26, 2024, at the age of 64 who passed peacefully in her home in the arms of her loving husband Gaston Pilon. Predeceased by her mother Rita, her father William and her step-mother Dorthy Gould. She is survived by her two children Amanda Wood (Kevin) and Adam Richardson. She also leaves behind her step-daughter Natalie Di Pietro-Pilon (Mario). She also leaves her siblings Michael (Denise), James (Nancy), and Brenda (Brad) as well as her step-siblings Warren (Lori), Paula (Larry predeceased) and Peter. She also leaves 6 grandchildren (special “Grandma” to Sophia Leigh, Wesley and Lincoln Wood) and many nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Karen's life will be held on Monday, August 5th at Vincent Massey Park Ottawa, Heron Road (closest intersection Riverside Drive) picnic area S2 from 11 a/m. to 1 p.m.  This celebration is not formal so please dress comfortably.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff at 6th floor Oncology, General Hospital, Bayshore Home Care, Dr. Goel of the Ottawa Cancer Center and his team and Dr. Dowed of the Ottawa South Palliative Group who ensured Karen was pain free and comfortable at the end Her Earth Journey. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity are appreciated.
