Katharine Ann Cox

January 19, 1938 — April 26, 2019

On April 26, 2019, at the age of 81 years, we lost a lovely wife, mother and grandmother, Katharine "Ann" Cox (nee Williamson), after a very short battle with cancer.
She will be extremely missed by her husband and traveling partner of almost 60 years, Jerry and her daughter Tiffany and grandchildren Cassandra and Logan.
Predeceased by her younger brother John "Jack" Williamson of London, ON.
Ann was raised with her brother on a farm in Brownsville, ON, by her parents Jean (nee Crawford) and Arthur Williamson. The family lived briefly in Tillsonburg, ON before moving to Stratford, ON. Ann married her high school sweetheart on August 19, 1961 in Stratford. Attended Stratford Teacher's College, practice taught in Kitchener, ON and first taught in London, ON. In 1966, she and Jerry moved to Etobicoke, ON where she taught for 28 years with the Etobicoke Board of Education specializing in physical education until retiring in 1994. She kept her connection with her fellow teachers as the membership secretary for the Rendezvous Club for many years.
Ann and Jerry enjoyed multiple trips to England and Europe. She found great pleasure in spending countless hours planning incredible places to stay and visit. Even sharing her love with friends and family as a trip planner and tour guide. Many winter months after retiring were spent relaxing and enjoying the sunny weather in Florida.
Cremation and internment have taken place. She was laid to rest at St. John's Cemetery and Crematorium (737 Dundas St E, Mississauga, ON) on Saturday May 1, 2019 in the presence of her husband, daughter, son-in-law, Michael Bean and grandchildren, Cassandra and Logan.
Family and friends are welcome to drop in for an informal Celebration of Life on June 22, 2019 from 1pm to 4pm at the Bean home, 25 West Deane Valley Road, Etobicoke, ON M9B 3K3. Any questions please contact Tiffany at tiffany.bean@hotmail.ca.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Dorothy Ley Hospice.
