Kathleen Ann Foubert

We are truly heartbroken to announce that our sister, aunt, great-aunt, niece and godmother Kathleen (Kapper) passed away on September 7, 2024.

 She was born on August 29, 1956 in Ottawa to the late Armand and Mary Foubert. She will be truly missed by her sisters, Mary (Charles), Patricia (Trish) (Steve), nephew Peter, nieces Krystal, Leighanne and Kelsie and great nieces and nephews Summer, Maya, Meric, Brayden, and Keith. 

In her early life Kathleen worked at M&O Bus Lines and she was one of the first ladies hired to work in the OC Transpo garage and continued as a long time employee of OC Transpo until her retirement in 2017. 

Kathleen truly had a love for sports playing hockey, football and baseball where she won several league championships with Manitonna in the Leeds and Grenville Ladies softball league where she was a star pitcher. Later in life she became a loyal life time Blue Jays fan and never missed the opportunity to cheer on her beloved team. 

The family would like to thank the staff of the Ottawa Hospital, the Bayshore Caregivers for their care and a special thank you to Lexi whom Kathleen looked forward to seeing every day. 

A celebration of life for Kathleen will be held at a later date. If so desired a donation can be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute, Lung Association or charity of your choice.
