It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Kenneth MacDonald Lawrence at Residence Lionel-Emond in Gatineau on January 2nd 2024 at the age of 83 Years. He will be fondly remembered by his Son Vallan (Lynn) and Grandchildren, Kassandra, Malakai and Evangeline. He is survived by his former Spouse, Patricia Forbes-Scott. He is predeceased by his Sister Jeanette Brathwaite. Ken was born in Prospect St.James Barbados,WI. He immigrated to New York City and then to Canada to make a better life for himself. He worked until retirement in 1997 at the University Of Ottawa as a Medical Technician In his spare time Ken often enjoyed Photography and Gardening. He was also known for his beautiful Rose Gardens. He also had a passion for travelling and could be found in the summer playing or watching Cricket on the Governor General's grounds. He made many close friends through his life experiences. A Celebration Of Life will be held in his honour on Saturday January 27th at Christ Church Cathedral at 1PM on 414 Sparks St. Friends and Family are encouraged to make a donation to Alzheimer Society of Ottawa. https://alzheimer.ca/ottawa/en Mr.Kenneth Lawrence's Ashes will be interred at a later date to a Family plot in his Birthplace in Barbados W.I.
