Kenneth Russell Wright, age 71, caught his last sunrise 24 January 2024 in Barrie Ontario.
He spent well over 30 years in Alliston Ontario, but spent the last 7 years in Barrie, Ontario.
His claim to fame was hitchhiking to the west coast from Brampton Ontario. He attended Brampton Public School and Central Peel. Ken started working at the Brampton Hospital and took one of the first Paramedic courses. Upon completion he took a job at the Alliston Hospital while waiting for a position in Barrie, he never left. Ken went through three different companies besides the hospital that had the contract. Funny that a garbage disposal company could be running an ambulance service. After a car/pedestrian accident in his youth his stature was not the best but he still managed to do the job. But the career did take its toll.
Ken always enjoyed his trips to the east coast and a couple to Germany to visit family. Ken leaves his brother Tom (Gord), sister in law Jean, nieces Lisa and Dara and nephew James Wright. He was predeceased by parents Thomas and Elsie nee Tribble Wright and older brother Jim. Cremation has taken place and internment will be in warmer weather in Dixon’s Cemetery Kennedy Rd North in Caledon with Mom and Dad and brother Jim. In lieu of flowers please donate to charity of your choice.
