Laurent Henrie Bergeron

June 26, 1941 — May 21, 2024

Sturgeon Falls

With deep sadness his family announces Laurent's death at University of Ottawa Heart Institute on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in his 83rd year.
Left to mourn him are his partner, Jackie (Patrie), and her children Rosemarie Faulkner (Ken), Raymond Patrie (Sharon), Mike Patrie. (Roxanne).

Also left to mourn, are Laurent's children, Mark (Maria), Lance (Sherry), Sherri Charles (Brian), Brandee Bergeron, and predeceased by his son Jason.

Special grandfather to Kelsey Dixon (Kiel), Taylor Bergeron,  Brittany Charles (Mike), Brianne Bracken-Charles (Caitlyn), Elijah Charles, Joah Charles, and Gabrielle Charles. Great grandfather to Charlotte and Hayden Charles and Nevaeh Bracken-Charles.

Loving son of Henry and Rose Bergeron (predeceased). Brother to Irene Hull (predeceased), Noel (predeceased), Jeanette Schwam (late Ed), Joanne Crawford ( late Doug), Ami Bergeron (Donna), Richard Bergeron (late Kathy), Rose-Anne Trudel (late Victor).

Also survived by many special nieces, nephews.

We would like to thank the doctors and nurses that provided exceptional care at both the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, and North Bay Regional Health Centre/Critical Care department for delivering specialized attention during Laurent's stay.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life  - Date to be determined. 

Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to either the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or North Bay Regional Health Centre.

 Laurent was Rail Superintendent for Algoma Central  Railway for many years. He was an avid Blue Jays fan who also loved gardening, farming chickens and rabbits, cooking and the outdoors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him especially his little dog Lucy.
