Lenore Kathleen Abbott

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Lenore K Abbott, beloved wife of the late Nelson Harry Abbott on May 2, 2024.

Lenore is survived by her daughter Kelly and husband Dave, grandchildren Kaycee, Blake and Brittny and two adorable great grandsons Briggs and Bronx. She also leaves behind her cherished brother and sister-in-law Charlie and Bonnie Flood plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Lenore, although she preferred “Lee” was born on January 7, 1936 to Charles and Elnore Flood. She grew up in the High Park, Parkdale, area playing with her cousins and attending her schooling there.

Lenore met the love of her life, Nelson and in a whirlwind romance they were married on May 16, 1969. They lived a glamorous life, doing the tango at the Palais Royale, cruising in their Cadillac and T-Bird enjoying being “ forever young”.

Lenore was very career oriented and spent 67 years with Deloitte. She liked to tell people she was able to retire twice. Her last time being March of 2022 at 86 years young.

She was predeceased by her husband, Nelson, her parents Charles and Elnore sister Margaret and brothers Jack, Martin and Art.

Her parting words to everyone were “ See you on the other side”.
