Leon passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 30, 2023 at 93 years old.
Leon is predeceased by Alice, his wife of 45 years. He leaves his sister Therese and 5 children: Jocelyne (Mark), Michael (Shannon), Rachel, Mark (Donna) and Maurice. Leon also leaves 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Leon was born and raised in Princeville, Quebec. After high school he joined the Air Force where he met Alice and proceeded to have 5 children. Leon and his family had many postings overseas and across Canada. With a large family Leon often took on part time jobs such as ambulance driver, bus driver, Sears. After 35 years in the RCAF Leon retired at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer of which he was very proud. He then spent a few years with the Aviation Division of Transport Canada.
Leon had several hobbies mostly in the outdoors. He enjoyed cottaging, road trekking across Canada and the US, camping, boating, fishing and wood working.
Leon was a humble yet proud man. He will be missed. Rest In Peace Leon.
