Leonard Hendrik Bartelink

Our loving Father and Opa passed away on May 3, 2018 in his 90th year. Henk was born June 1, 1928 in the Netherlands and left his homeland to move to Canada after the Second World War. Henk was very successful in academic pursuits, earning the Governor General’s medal at Queens University, and a scholarship to MIT in Cambridge, MA for his Masters of Engineering. He then went on to become a P.Eng. and had a lengthy career in Niagara Falls, ON. Henk was passionate about science and technology as well as the outdoors, sailing, hiking and music.
Beloved husband of the late Anita, father of Marie (Mike), Eva (Joe), Ingrid and Dirk. Opa will be deeply missed by his children and his grandchildren Kirsten, Jason, Trevor and Stewart.
