Leslie Joseph Cardoso

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Joseph Cardoso, on October 8, 2024, at the age of 98, with his daughters by his side.

He is survived by his four daughters, Avril (Noel), Penny (Brian), Gillian(Dan), Martine(Nick), and loving grandsons; Nick and Matt. 

Leslie was always admired for his faith, humility, hard work, loving and caring nature and dedication to his family. He sacrificed so much to give his family a better life, without expecting anything in return. He lived such a humble and simple life, but always made sure his family had everything. He went through so many tough times and challenges, but never complained. He truly was a wonderful role model to not only his children, but to those who were fortunate to know him. Everyone who met him loved him and always said what a sweet and thankful person he was. He exemplified the attitude of gratitude for the simplest of things, which is such an admirable quality. Most importantly, he was so devoted to his faith. On a daily basis he said his rosary and watched mass on TV, when he could no longer go to church. He never waivered with his faith, even through difficult times.

He was such a wonderful person and devoted father who will forever leave a void in our hearts. May he rest in peace and continue to watch over us.

The Funeral service will be held at St Patrick’s Parish, 921 Flagship Drive, Mississauga, ON, on Wednesday October 16th at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Leslie may be made to the Food Bank or charity of your choice.
