Leslie William Gills

The family of Leslie William Gills, 66, of South Glengarry is saddened to announce his passing February 3rd, 2022 at CCH in Cornwall, Ontario.
He was born in Ottawa Ontario on December 6th, 1955 and adopted by William "Bill" and Ruth (Andrews) Gills. He graduated from Howard S. Billings Regional High School in Chateauguay, Quebec. He became a College graduate from St. Lawrence College for Carpentry. He was recently retired but had many different occupations over the years such as working for the Montreal School Board, Gilcrest Homes, he was a building systems engineer at Guelph University (Kemptville Campus), and worked for some time with Delaney Bus Lines to name a few.
He enjoyed his country drives, going to Tim Hortons with friends, talking about his love of trains, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kind gestures, always willing to help those he cared for, and his corney god awful dad jokes - he never seemed to have a low supply of.
He will be lovingly remembered by his ex wife of 29 years, Deborah Edwards; children Devin (girlfriend Natalie Point) and Rebecca (husband Jesse Laramee) and Kodie (girlfriend Victoria McGlashon); grandchildren Hayleigh, Nolan, Ayden, Jared, Daylen, Abigail, and Maxime; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date this spring.
