Dones, Linda Mae (nee Haughton) (aka Paperlady)
Passed away peacefully with family by her side at GNGH on March 20, 2017 in her 70th year.
Beloved mother of Tina (Kevin Blue) and Tim Thomas (Shannon McBride).
Proud Nana of Kyle Blue & Grammie Linda of CJ McBride.
Sister of Doris Sproat, Lois Journeay, Debbie Bennett and Ray Haughton.
Special sister of Vicky Simpson and Cheryl Taylor.
She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Daughter of the late Dorothy Jean (Gillies) and Kenneth Haughton.
Predeceased by siblings, Bernadine, Kenny, Donna and Ruth
Linda was born in Thorold, Ontario. Many long time friends were met when she was employed
as a Toronto Star newspaper courier and later as a CTC gas attendant.
Her wood working and painting talent provided many friends and family with treasured keepsakes.
A life long animal lover, she leaves behind her beloved cat, Tori.
Heartfelt thank you to the paramedics and staff at GNGH for their support and compassion.
Cremation has taken place.
A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Thorold on Saturday May 6, 2017 at 10:30am.
Celebration of life to follow at Hope Gospel Church (5489 Desson Ave, Niagara Falls ) 11:30 am.
