Of Brampton passed away suddenly at home Saturday, November 18, 2017 of a cardiac arrest caused by her ongoing diabetes and kidney disease. Linda was born in Toronto, October 6, 1956 to Donald Silverthorne Millar of Toronto and the late Lavonne Gwendolene Shortt of Feversham, Ontario. Linda’s spouse of 39 years, James Howard Pratt was holding Linda when she passed. Linda is survived by her daughter Danielle Victoria Margaret Silverthorne Pratt of Brampton (Shawn Radmore). Also survived by brother Daniel Silverthorne Millar (Rosanna Forte), sister Judi Lee-Ann Black (David) and sister Elaine Hopper (Daryl). Linda was the proud aunt of Megan (Nick) and Michael Millar, Andrew Wilcox, Nathan Pratt (Michelle), Brittany Barnett (Peter), and Christopher, Nicholas and Mathew Doke and adoring Nanny to her grand dog Yoda. Survived by and proud to be niece by marriage to Paul and Francoise Arnaudo of Hyeres, France and “cousin by marriage” of Laurent Arnaudo (Sandrine) of Paris, France and Pascal Arnaudo (Muriel) of Fribourg, Switzerland. Linda was equally proud of her French “children” through EF Student exchange, Magalie Salaé�n (Michael), Pierre Olivier Lefebvre (Emily), Luc Lefebvre (Aline), Anne-Sophie Lefebvre and their parents Jean Louis and Marie-Pierre Lefebvre. Also survived by her dear friend Phyllis McIntosh (Robert). Honoured to be adopted into the extended Newfoundland/Ontario family of Brenda Hughes, Alan Keating, and Kathie Grace. Linda will also be missed by friends and casino cohorts Arlene Naulls and William (“Bill”) Ferguson, Bill’s family and the kind people and neighbours in Trent Lakes. Linda was most recently a Court Clerk in the Ontario Court of Justice Family Court in Brampton but had also enjoyed careers as a Legal Assistant, Aquatics Instructor and Preventive Dental Assistant. Linda had many passions but the first was the family cottage on Catchacoma Lake and a close second was swimming in Catchacoma Lake. Celebration of Linda’s Life to be held on Saturday, December 9th at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium, 737 Dundas St. E., Mississauga. In place of flowers we ask that you donate in Linda’s Name to Diabetes Canada, the Kidney Foundation of Canada, or contribute to the planting of a tree in your community.
