Your laughter would fill a room, your generosity and kindness were well beyond expectation, your free and independent spirit inspired, and your impetuous nature was infectious. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lois Eleanor McGee, who passed away peacefully in hospital in Cambridge, Ontario at the age of 69. She persevered through 2 cancer diagnoses, surgeries and treatments during her last year but finally succumbed to pneumonia on Saturday, August 27th, 2022.
Cherished mother to Karl and Erich, and daughters-in-law Christine and Barbara. Deeply missed by her 5 grandchildren Miranda, Byron, Rayne, Nolan and Connor, nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Patrick and Shirley McGee, survived by her siblings: Owen, Mike, Pat and Nancy.
Lois had a love for music, cuisine, aquatics, art, gardening and singing. She had a generous spirit, a gregariously social personality, she enjoyed being the centre of attention and encouraging others around her to have a great time. She sang in various church choirs throughout her life and always carried a love of music with her.
A special thank you to those that cared for her for their kindness, compassion and acceptance through her times of difficulty.
Please join us in celebrating the life of Lois Eleanor McGee at St. Christopher's Parish on Friday September 9th at 11AM. Reception to follow at St. Christopher's Parish in the church basement hall. Sandwiches, drinks and desserts will be available. Interment afterward at Glen Oaks Cemetery (adjacent to northwest entrance).
